olympic day

During the summer of 2000 a team of softball players were selected to compete in a double header against the USA Olympic Team.  The game was played on the University of Notre Dame campus.  Kristy Crain and I were selected to participate in this exciting event.  Although we didn't win we had a great time getting to play against the best of the best.  I actually made contact with a pitch from Michelle Smith and hit a fly ball to center field, that made my day.  I also threw a girl out trying to steal third base.  Kristy grounded into a fielders choice and played well in the field.  After the game we got to hang out in the hotel and get to know some of the Olympic players.  It was definitely a dream come true!!!
